Chris Romanowski is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston and co-creator of HeavyHitterPads (now manufactured and distributed by the Vic Firth Corporation), Chris Romanowski endorses Dynasty Drums, Remo DrumHeads, Zildjian Cymbals, and is a member of the Vic Firth Educational team where he can be seen on the VicFirth Rudimental APP available for iPhone and Android.

Mr. Romanowski has performed with many great musicians including Rob Caggiano (guitarist for Anthrax and Grammy Award winning Music Producer), Jim McGorman (guitarist/piano/vocals for Cher, Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, Cassade Pope), Fausto Cuevas (percussionist for Britney Spears, Queen Latifa, Stevie Wonder and the American Idol tour band) Steve Fekete (Avril Lavigne, Cassade Pope, Five for Fighting, David Archuletta) to name a few.

Mr. Romanowski currently works in Cobb County Georgia at Hillgrove High School, Lovinggood Middle School and Lost Mountain Middle School as the Director of Percussion.  Since joining the education staff for Hillgrove High School the percussion program has grown from 9 total percussion students to 40+ annually at the high school.  Romanowski now also teaches almost 90 percussion students a week in the middle schools.

Mr. Romanowski’s groups have won 14 Bands of America Regional Championships, 2 Bands of America National Championships, the Drum Corps International Div. II World Championships, Drum Corps International Div II High Percussion award, and the Drum Corps Japan High Percussion Award.

Mr. Romanowski serves as the Caption Head and Arranger for the All Age Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps.  Since his involvement in 2010 the drum corps as enjoyed much success, including twice setting the record for the highest placing drum corps in DCA from the South in over 50 years.

Since 2007 Mr. Romanowski has been a Percussion and Ensemble Music judge for Drum Corps International (DCI) and has performed clinics for groups such as the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association, and at several Day of Percussion events in the U.S. Twice Romanowski has had the incredible honor and fulfilled a childhood dream of being a DCI Finals week and DCI I&E judge.

Mr. Romanowski has worked with several groups including: Bands of America National Champion and, Fiesta BowlChampion- Plymouth Canton High School, Bands of America Finalist and Fiesta Bowl Champion-Etiwanda High School, DCI Division II and High Percussion Champion-Rochester Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps, Drum Corps Japan High Percussion Champion – Pride of Soka Royal Kilties from Hachioji, Japan, and The Magic of Orlando Atlanta CV Drum Corps, Atlanta CV Indoor, and helped to organize the new competitive indoor circuit in Georgia, Georgia Indoor Percussion Association. Romanowski is also the owner of which outfits groups with t-shirts and other apparel.

Romanowski is the father to 2 incredible children who are his everything, married to his incredibly talented and hard working wife Mary, has 2 pugs, and still loves to drum.
