March-a-Thon Coming to West Cobb Nov. 8th

Our annual March-a-Thon will be on November 8, 2014 in Loring Square off John Ward Rd.  It is from 10:00 to 1:00.  This is a fun event that raises money for the general fund (think new trailer!) for our marching band.

Students will meet at Cheatham Hill Elementary school at 9:00, and pickup is also at Cheatham Hill.

Preserve your piece of history!

As part of the fundraising effort for new uniforms, Hillgrove Bands are making current marching shako hats, plumes, jackets and gauntlet sets available for sale to current students, then to alumni.

Current marching band students and families have until April 30, 2014 to purchase their currently-assigned items.

Alumni marching band students and families will have an opportunity to  purchase items as of May 1, 2014 until May 31, 2014.

China opens doors to Hillgrove

The Hillgrove bands and orchestra have been given the high honor of conducting a 12-day concert tour in the spring of 2016 in the People’s Republic of China.

Students will have the privilege to perform at venues in Beijing and Shanghai, including Beijing University, during their tour. They will also have the opportunity to spend a day at a Chinese high school.

Hillgrove is the first Georgia high school music ensemble to make this trip. The University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band ...

Top Honors at Southern Invitational

For a second weekend in a row, the members of the Hillgrove High School Marching Band came away from a competition with a coveted Grand Champion designation.

After a near-perfect clean sweep at Lassiter’s Marching Band Showcase, it was the 30th Annual Southern Invitational Music Festival held Saturday, October 19th where students once again performed their show “Down on the Circle H” featuring music from famed American composer Aaron Copland.
