Congratulations Hillgrove Wind Symphony, Lovinggood Band, and Lost Mountain Band

The Hillgrove Wind Symphony has been selected as a guest performing group for the 2011 GMEA State In-Service Conference. This is quite an honor for our students.

The performance will take place Thursday, January 27th, 2011 at 8:30pm in the Civic Center in Savannah, GA. We hope to see many Hillgrove faces in the audience!

Also, Congratulations to the Lovinggood Middle School Band, selected as a guest band at the 2010 UGA MidFest Honor Band. We are SO proud.

Finally, the Lost Mountain Bands were given GMEA's Exemplary Performance Award for 2009-2010. The award is given for outstanding performance and participation in GMEA events. Congrats!

Congratulations Hillgrove Percussion Ensemble

A fantastic concert by the Hillgrove Percussion Ensemble at our 2nd annual Night of Drumming Concert. The students worked very hard and pulled off an amazing night of music. Congrats to Mr Romanowski and the students! Click the picture to see more shots of last nights concert.

Band Orientation Meeting and Spring Camp Information

ORIENTATION MEETING

The 2010-2011 Band Orientation Meeting will be held on May 5th in the Band Hall at Hillgrove. This year, we will have a 9th grade only meeting at 7pm, followed by a meeting for all at 8pm. Please see the flyers below for more information

Students are ENCOURAGED to attend, as there will be a separate 'students only' meeting held at the same time.

SPRING CAMP

In addition, the Hillgrove Marching Band SPRING CAMP will be held May 25-27. The Spring Camp is our annual Try-out camp for Marching Band. It is the perfect opportunity for our rising 9th grade students to get a feel for the marching band, and make some great new friends with our upperclassmen.

Any student may attend the camp to check it out. Students who wish to march, but cannot make the camp dates MUST contact Mr Ferrell or Mr Erwin as soon as possible. We will finalize all drill spots by the 3rd day of camp.
