Founded in 2006, Hillgrove Bands is a registered 501c3 nonprofit operating to support the efforts of our band program.
OUR MISSION:
We exist to create deliberate success in the lives of our musicians. Each student will strive to be a functionally literate, independent performer, and exhibit the highest possible level of leadership and character.
OUR VISION:
Music is our common bond. We envision a world in which young musicians grow into life-giving leaders in whatever profession they choose.

The Hillgrove High School Band program continues to distinguish itself as one of the premier music programs in the nation. In 2023, the Hillgrove Marching Band earned the title of Grand Champion at the Western Carolina Tournament of Champions and was named Class Champion at the 2024 Georgia Marching Band Class Competition in Buford, GA. They are also a regular finalist with Bands of America, showcasing their consistent excellence on the national stage.
Beyond the marching field, Hillgrove's concert and jazz ensembles have also achieved national recognition. The Wind Symphony was honored with an invitation to perform at the prestigious 2025 Music for All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis. In December 2023, the Jazz Orchestra made history as the first high school jazz band from Georgia to perform at the renowned Midwest Clinic. They continued their groundbreaking year with a performance at the Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference in January 2025 in Atlanta.
These accomplishments reflect the dedication, talent, and hard work of the students and staff, as well as the unwavering support of the Hillgrove community. The program is deeply grateful for the continued encouragement of parents, school administrators, and local supporters who help make these life-changing opportunities possible for its students.
