Chris Romanowski, Percussion Director

 

 

 

Chris Romanowski (Romo) is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston and a highly sought after percussion arranger, designer, and music judge who’s groups have won DCI Open, Drum Corps Japan, numerous BOA Regionals, Grand National Finalists, top 3 in Drum Corps Europe and perform his beats with the Pittsburgh Steelers Steeline. During his time with Atlanta CV, they became a perennial powerhouse in DCA and won High Percussion in his final season there in 2021.
 
Chris has judged DCI Finals Week 11 times as well as numerous fall band and indoor state championships over the past 20 years.

Chris is the Co-Creator of HeavyHitterPads by Vic Firth, and is the owner of OnlinePercussionDirector, a YouTube channel that High Schools and Middle Schools use to supplement their Percussion Curriculum. Chris teaches over 200 percussion students a week between Hillgrove High School, Lovinggood Middle School, McCleskey Middle school, and private lessons.
 
Chris endorses Mapex Drums, Vic Firth sticks and mallets, Zildjian cymbals, and Remo drum heads.
